Stone Island Authentication Labels

ART Numbers & Certilogo Guide

Stone Island has used different authentication systems over the years. Understanding these labels is an important part of verifying whether a garment is genuine.

Stone Island Items Before 2014 (ART Number Tags)

Before 2014, Stone Island garments did not include Certilogo authentication codes.

Instead, each garment featured an ART number on the wash tag. This number identifies specific details about the product.

The ART number provides information about:

• The production season
• The product category
• The material type
• The colour

When checking ART number tags, look for:

✔ Clear and sharp printing
✔ Correct number formatting
✔ High-quality label material

Fake items often have blurry printing or incorrect number spacing.

Stone Island Certilogo Authentication (2014–2021)

Stone Island introduced Certilogo technology around 2014 to help customers verify authentic products.

During this period, garments included a stitched-in fabric Certilogo tag inside the garment.

This label contained:

• A QR code
• A 12-digit CLG authentication code

Customers can verify the item by visiting:

www.certilogo.com

and entering the CLG code or scanning the QR code.

Updated Certilogo Label (Autumn/Winter 2021 – Present)

Starting from the Autumn/Winter 2021 collection, Stone Island updated their authentication label.

The stitched Certilogo tag was replaced with a printed authentication label.

The printed label still contains:

• A Certilogo QR code
• A CLG authentication number

Customers can verify the item in the same way through Certilogo’s authentication website.

Important Note About Certilogo

While Certilogo is a useful authentication tool, it should not be relied on as the only method of verification.

Some counterfeit products attempt to copy genuine codes.

For this reason, authentication should always include:

✔ Badge inspection
✔ Label verification
✔ Stitching quality checks
✔ Fabric and material inspection

At Don Threads, every item goes through a multi-step authentication process before being listed for sale.
